At Groove Studio, we keep our classes small so that instructors can provide individual attention, feedback and guidance. By booking or attending a class, you agree to the following policies.
A class or course place is confirmed only after payment has been received.
Payment can be made by PayNow or cash. Where applicable, card payments may be processed through PayPal.
Class places are limited and reserved specifically for the participant who made the booking.
Once a booking has been confirmed, it is subject to the cancellation, transfer and make-up policies below.
If payment is not received by the stated deadline, Groove Studio may release the place to another participant.
Trial classes are available for selected classes and are intended for participants who are new to that particular class or activity.
Trial classes must be booked and paid for in advance.
Once a trial booking has been confirmed, the date and time cannot be changed.
If a participant does not attend the confirmed trial class, the trial fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date.
Trial participants must follow all studio rules and instructor instructions.
Jewellery, watches and other items that may scratch, damage or interfere with the equipment must be removed before participating.
Participants who refuse to remove such items will not be allowed to participate and will be asked to leave. No refund or replacement class will be provided.
The instructor may refuse participation where a participant does not follow safety instructions or where their participation may pose a risk to themselves, others or the equipment.
A trial class does not guarantee a place in a subsequent course.
Once a course has been confirmed, the participant's place is reserved for the selected course and class.
Transfer to another class or course is subject to availability and Groove Studio's approval.
A transfer is not guaranteed simply because another class is available.
Transfers may not be possible once a course has started, particularly where the requested class is full or the participant's level is not suitable.
Transferring to another class does not create a new make-up entitlement.
Groove Studio reserves the right to determine whether a requested transfer is appropriate.
If a participant decides that they no longer wish to continue a course after attending one or more classes:
They may stop attending the remaining classes.
No refund, partial refund or credit will be provided for unused classes.
Unused classes cannot be transferred to another person.
Any applicable make-up entitlement ends when the participant withdraws from the course, unless otherwise agreed by Groove Studio.
Drop-in classes are subject to availability and must be paid for when booked.
Once a drop-in booking has been confirmed, the booking cannot be cancelled, transferred or rescheduled.
If the participant does not attend the confirmed drop-in class, no refund, credit or replacement class will be provided.
A drop-in booking is for the named participant only and cannot be transferred to another person without Groove Studio's prior approval.
Make-up arrangements for eligible course participants are subject to Groove Studio's Make-Up Class Policy.
Please refer to the Make-Up Class Policy for details on eligibility, make-up classes and self-practice options.
Self-practice is independent practice without an instructor and is subject to studio and apparatus availability.
Self-practice must be booked and confirmed in advance.
Participants may only use the apparatus specifically allocated or approved for their session.
One self-practice booking is for one participant only unless Groove Studio has expressly approved otherwise.
Participants may not share a booked pole or apparatus with another person.
A one-hour booking does not mean that two people may attend and share the same pole for one hour.
Each person who wishes to use the studio for self-practice must make their own booking, unless Groove Studio has agreed to a different arrangement.
Participants must practise only movements appropriate to their current ability.
Self-practice does not include instruction, spotting or supervision by an instructor.
Groove Studio may stop a self-practice session if the participant is using equipment in an unsafe manner or not following studio rules.
Except where Groove Studio specifically agrees otherwise:
Missed classes are not refundable.
Confirmed trial classes are not refundable or transferable.
Confirmed drop-in classes are not refundable or transferable.
Unused course classes are not refundable, including where a participant chooses to stop attending.
Make-up arrangements are subject to the Make-Up Class Policy.
Groove Studio keeps class sizes small to allow instructors to provide individual attention and guidance. When you book a course, a place is reserved specifically for you and is held for the duration of the course. As the place has been reserved and paid for, Groove Studio does not provide refunds, partial refunds or credits simply because a participant changes their mind, chooses not to attend, or decides not to continue the course after booking.
Groove Studio keeps classes small to provide personalised attention.
Class and apparatus capacity varies according to the activity.
Participants must use the apparatus allocated by the instructor and must not move, exchange or share apparatus without permission.
Participants must:
Follow instructor safety instructions.
Remove jewellery, watches and sharp accessories before using poles or aerial equipment.
Wear suitable clothing.
Use equipment only as instructed.
Inform the instructor if they experience pain, dizziness or discomfort.
Not attempt movements beyond their current level without appropriate instruction.
Groove Studio reserves the right to stop participation where a participant's actions may endanger themselves, another person or the equipment.
Participants are responsible for informing the instructor of relevant physical limitations, injuries or conditions that may affect their participation.
If you are unsure whether an activity is suitable for you, consult an appropriate healthcare professional before participating.
The instructor may modify or exclude movements where they consider this necessary for safety.
Participants are responsible for their own belongings.
Groove Studio is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property brought into the studio.
Participants may take photographs or videos for personal use where this does not disrupt the class or other participants.
Please respect the privacy of others and do not post identifiable images or videos of another participant without their permission.
Groove Studio may take photographs or videos for studio records or promotional purposes. Appropriate consent will be obtained where required.
Everyone at Groove Studio is expected to treat instructors, staff and fellow participants respectfully.
Groove Studio reserves the right to refuse participation or ask a participant to leave where behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, abusive or inappropriate.
