We understand that sometimes you may be unable to attend a class.
To keep our small classes fair and manageable for everyone, make-up classes are subject to the following policy.
For an eligible 6-lesson course, participants may receive one make-up class for a missed lesson.
Make-ups are intended to help participants manage an occasional absence. They are not an automatic extension of the course or a replacement for regular attendance.
A make-up may be arranged when:
You are unable to attend your scheduled class; and
There is a suitable available class during the same course period.
Make-ups are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
For an eligible 6-lesson course, participants may choose one of the following options for a missed lesson:
Option A — Attend a Make-Up Class
Attend another suitable pole, aerial or stretch & conditioning class, subject to availability and instructor approval.
OR
Option B — Self-Practice
Opt for 2 hours of self-practice at Groove Studio instead of attending a make-up class.
The 2 hours may be:
Taken as one 2-hour session, or
Split into two separate 1-hour sessions.
Self-practice is independent practice without an instructor and is subject to studio and apparatus availability. Sessions must be booked in advance.
Participants should only practise movements and skills appropriate to their current level.
A missed lesson can be redeemed either as a make-up class OR 2 hours of self-practice. The two options cannot be combined.
Make-up classes or self-practice sessions must be completed within the same 6-week course period, unless otherwise agreed by Groove Studio.
Unused make-up entitlement does not automatically carry forward to a future course.
Make-up places are subject to class availability.
Participants should contact Groove Studio in advance to request a make-up.
A make-up place is only confirmed once Groove Studio has confirmed the arrangement.
A missed class does not result in a cash refund or automatic credit.
Make-up arrangements are provided as a courtesy to help participants manage occasional absences.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect eligibility for future make-ups.
This is because a place has been reserved for you in a small class and may not be possible to fill at short notice.
Once the course period has ended, unused make-up entitlement expires unless Groove Studio has specifically agreed otherwise.
