Q10.
What must I wear?
A.
You should wear as follow:
For Salsa Beginners Level 1 &
2, Ladies/ Men's Styling, Merengue, Street Cha-Cha &
Bachata:
• If you are heading
to the studio after work, office gear will suffice.
• If you are heading
to the studio from home, gym gear or casual clothes are
acceptable.
• Men: No slippers/flip-flops.
Shoes are preferred.
• Ladies: No slippers/flip-flops/slip-ons.
Heels with ankle support are preferred.
For
Salsa Intermediate; Advance & Men’s Styling:
Same
as above, but also avoid track shoes with soles that provide
a lot of friction. Ladies
may
want to consider investing in a pair of dance heels with
good ankle support and suede
soles.
Refer to this
link
to purchase your shoes.
For
Cardio Salsa, Latin Jam, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop:
• Gym gear.
•
Dance sneakers and jazz shoes are acceptable for Cardio
Salsa/ Latin Jam/ Reggaeton and Hip-Hop classes.
•
Bring your own hand towel/ small towel to wipe away perspiration.
Exotic Dance & Pole Dance:
•
Gym gear, preferably tight-fitting ones to allow good view of muscle movements.
•
For footwear: do bring along a pair of heels with ankle straps.
•
For higher levels of Exotic Dance, we do NOT encourage students to use short as there
will be a lot of floorwork and this requires students to be on their knees for a fair bit.
Alternatively, you may also wish to use knee guards.
Lap
Dance:
•
Gym gear, preferably tight-fitting ones to view the muscle movements.
•
Do bring along a pair of heels with ankle straps.
•
According to the instructors’ specifications, you may be asked to bring a button down
long-sleeved shirt to incorporate stripping into the dance lesson. Ask your instructor on
the first day of class if your Lap Dance Course requires this (usually on the 2nd – 4th
lesson only).
Pole Dance:
•
For Pole Dancing, opt for sports Tank or crop top & shorts (a MUST!). Avoid 3-quarter
pants or sleeves because the pole adheres better to bare skin. In practicing advance
pole stunts such as inverts, besides strength & technique, we largely require friction
between skin and pole to stay in the position. Hence we need to wear clothes that expose
some skin.
•
For footwear: do bring along a pair of heels with ankle straps.
Belly
Dance:
•
Gym gear, preferably tight-fitting ones to view the muscle movements.
•
No footwear is required.
•
For levels 1, no Belly Dance Hip Scarf is required. Check with your instructor of the first
day of class if you want to purchase hip-scarves.
Please
note to bring along this completed copy of this
registration
form with you on your
first
day at our studio (only applicable for first visits to the
studio).
